Group Orders

✳If you are an interested GOM, please email us ([email protected]) or DM us on Twitter! What's a Group Order?
A Group Order allows multiple people to make one order through a Group Order Manager (GOM). The GOM makes one bulk purchase through us, and then collect payments and ships out the bundles to each individual.
This usually saves on shipping costs for international folks, but we can't guarantee that this is the case. We will also not be placing anyone automatically in a group order; buyers join of their own volition and risk.Who has reached out to you?
Please view our socials, shop page, and FAQ for GOs that have reached out to us!
What do I do if I join a Group Order?
We advise you to direct your questions to your GOM. We will only be sending an invoice directly to your GOM, and your GOM should manage the rest of the payment splits.
How do I host a Group Order?
If you have 3 or less physical bundles, please buy the bulk order directly from the shop.
If you have 4 or more physical bundles, you can buy directly from the shop, or we can send you a separate invoice to collect more accurate shipping fees.I will order 4 or more bundles. What should I do?
1. You collect the orders while our preorders are open, however you do it! (Please tag us!)
2. We'll send you a "Pay shipping later" code, just for your group order.
3. Before preorders close, you'll make the purchase of however many bundles through Bigcartel with the code.
4. When shipping begins, we will send you a Paypal invoice with the cost of just the shipping prices.
5. Once we receive the money, we'll ship it out to you!
This might mean you'd need to close your group order a little bit before our preorders close (April 2)! We apologize for this inconvenience!

General Questions

What is an anthology?
An anthology is a collection of works compiled into a book. One Day will feature artwork, comics, fics, and merchandise.
What is the theme?
The anthology is centered around AtsuHina! We welcome canon-verse, canon-divergence, and AUs... Anything goes!
What does いつか mean?
「 俺はいつかアンタにトスを上げるで 」
いつか (itsuka) is derived from Atsumu's promise to Hinata in chapter 291 / Episode 12 of Haikyuu!! Season 4, Part 2. Translated to English, いつか becomes "One Day," or "Someday".

The following will not be allowed:
⨉ MCD (major character death)

⨉ NSFW content

Finance Questions

✳ Please take a look at our detailed finance plans linked here! ✳Do I need to pay if I fill out the Preorder Interest Check form?
No, the form is not binding, and you will not need to pay. We will conduct our actual preorder sales starting on February 25!
Will prices change from the form?
The prices may change slightly from the form, depending on the results of the interest check. More interest in the project may be able to make our pricing cheaper, but less interest may increase the price. If we don't have enough interest, we may not be able to hold physical sales. *
Will this anthology be for profit?
No, One Day operates under a P4P model. P4P stands for Pay for Production, which is when consumers pay for the cost of production for the anthology. Production cost includes manufacturing costs, shipping supplies, transaction fees, shipping costs, and contributor bundles (so that we can compensate our wonderful contributors fairly).
How are contributors compensated?
All of our contributors will receive a physical copy of the anthology, a digital PDF file, and all merch. Since this is a P4P project, there will be no profits to gain or distribute.
Will there be a digital copy available?
Yes! We'll be opening sales for a digital copy to help fund the production cost of the books (see more here). These funds will go directly towards covering our contributor’s bundles. The number of PDFs available for sale will be capped at the full cost of all contributor bundles. All purchases of the physical anthology bundle will also come with the digital PDF.
How much will the anthology cost?
The price of the anthology will depend on the manufacturing cost of the book, merch, the total cost of the contributor bundles and contributor shipping. To see a rough formula, please check this link.
Unfortunately, due to unpredictable manufacturing costs, we cannot announce an exact price just yet. We will state the expected price of our bundles in our Preorder Interest Check. What happens if you don’t break even?
In case the project does not break even, mods will pay for contributor copies out of pocket. We also have Ko-Fi donations open to help fund the contributor bundles, and to keep the price of the physical bundle as low as possible for everyone.
What happens if this anthology earns more than expected?
Currently, the mods are paying for their own copies, and the cost of those bundles are not factored into the anthology pricing.
In the very unlikely case we end up with excess profits, we will put those profits back into production by enhancing the anthology--adding gold foil, adding spot UV, creating personalized packaging and custom AtsuHina packing seals, or even producing additional free stickers! The mods have many ideas for making the anthology as amazing as possible if given the funds! If possible, we will also try to cover the mods’ bundles. In the very last case, we can donate to charity. __
No contributors or mods will be earning any financial profits.*__What is the anthology’s financial timeline?
1. Early on, we will be opening Ko-Fi donations.
2. In January 2023, we will hold a Preorder Interest Check so that we can gauge interest and accurately determine P4P pricing of the anthology.
3. We will open preorders in February for the anthology, and will be priced based on the donations and the Preorder Interest Check.
Where does the money from the Ko-Fi donations go to?
These funds will solely be used to cover the costs of the contributors copies and contributor shipping, which will help make the prices for the physical anthology cheaper. In order to fairly compensate our contributors for their work, we need to include the cost of their bundles and shipping into the pricing of the physical anthology.
However, if the donations are able to fully fund our contributors’ compensation, we will not need to factor that cost into the pricing of bundles! Donations will be capped to ensure that we don’t make profits.I have more finance-relationed questions.

How we will be selling the books and ensuring that it’s P4P

2022 Fall - We will open up Ko-Fi donations. All proceeds and donations will go towards funding contributor copies.2023 Jan 14 - Feb 14: Preorder Interest Check: We will be collecting responses to determine an accurate estimate of the number of buyers at our predicted price for the anthology. We will also be determining interest for group orders. We urge everyone to fill this form out seriously and honestly so that we may finalize pricing as accurately as possible.2023 Feb 14 - Feb 25: We will carefully consider the responses from the interest check and determine the final pricing of the anthology based on this so that we may help cover contributor copies.🍊2023 Feb 25 - Apr 2: Preorders: We will open our store at the price we’ve determined for our anthology. We hope that those who have filled out the interest check stating their intention to purchase our anthology will be able to follow through, otherwise we will be operating at a loss. 🥺 We will also be taking Group Orders and working with Group Order Managers to minimize shipping costs for everyone!2023 April - June*: The books and merch will be sent off to production. We will update everyone frequently during this process.2023 June - July*: We will begin shipping out all anthology bundles and mail out the digital PDF to our customers.2023 July - August*: Leftover sales: If we have leftovers and we are still at a loss (i.e. mods are paying out of pocket), we will sell any leftovers to recuperate the losses. If the anthology has broken even (i.e. we have made enough money to cover everything), we will not be selling the leftovers. Instead, we may distribute the extras amongst our contributors or potentially host giveaways.*Exact dates are subject to changes

Finance transparency

Finance Mod Transparency and Accountability
- Although the official finance mod is JJ, all the mods have all been working closely regarding finances and production. All the mods have access to manufacturing accounts, and receipts of every transaction are documented and consolidated in a shared drive.
- All the mods also are aware of JJ’s identity and location, and have relations with her and her family. Some of them have hung out with JJ in real life! If something goes horribly wrong, the mods are able to track her down in person.
- Multiple mods have had previous experiences running zines, running an online shop, or by being a group order manager.
Transparency with Consumers and Contributors
- Mods will make frequent production and financial updates with the contributors.
- Contributors will all be able to view an updated ledger with all donations, revenue, and expenses listed with links to receipts.
- Mods will make frequent production updates to buyers, even if the update is “we are still awaiting on items.” This is so that the buyers will have regular communication from us and there will never be a long period of radio silence.
- Mods will be providing proof pictures and production pictures to everyone as we make orders and receive the products. Please look forward to our shipping mod’s bestest helper! 🐶
We believe that transparency and communication is the best way to alleviate concerns!

Math

For those more mathematically inclined, this is the rough equation that we’ll be using to determine shop pricing:Contributor costs = Contributor manufacturing costs + Contributor shipping costs - Ko-Fi donations - Projected digital salesTotal outgoing = Contributor costs + Buyer manufacturing costs + Shipping suppliesTotal incoming = Preorder sales - Transaction fees
To make this P4P, we will ensure: Total incoming = Total outgoing.
Price of the book = Total outgoing / Number of people that have expressed interest in Preorder IC
